Krzyżanowice

Krzyżanowice – the smallest village in the municipality, located on the right bank of Raba. As a village he has been appearing in documents since 1286. Since 1312 the seat of the parish. The present church was built in 1746 in Bochnia as a monastery church of the Berlin order. After cassation of the monastery in 1783 it was purchased by the Magistrate of the city of Bochni (Patron of the parish in Krzyżanowice) and then exactly reconstructed there on a new site. A wooden structure with timber structure. Baroque-classical interior decoration (altars, pulpit, music choir). It is worth to see the 16th century Gothic stone font. Standing next to a wooden bell tower from the 18th century, a pillar structure, with a tent roof on which two eighteenth-century bells are suspended (one from 1772), adds much charm to this place.
